The wild sheep, the fox and love
A charming feel-good-documentary about Hilde (45) and the unconventional choises she made in her life.
Hilde (45) quit her well-paid job, sold everything she had and moved with her daughter and new boyfriend to the beautiful island of Grøneng on the west coast of Norway. Here, they started running a farm and tending wild sheep. But seven months later her boyfriend died, and Hilde sat heartbroken on an isolated island with her daughter, 300 wild sheeps, two cats, a dog, two horses, and a cunning fox that killed many of the new-born lambs.
Then the hunter, Øyvind (32), comes to help out. Hilde expects a "dried out old hunter-type of a guy". Øyvind expects an old lady.
The documentary The wild sheep, the fox and love was shown on NRK FAKTOR, October 31, 2005, and had 600,000 viewers in total, a very good result.
